Positive #3 – Zinchenko!!!

Arsenal’s impending arrival was on display at the match despite not yet being announced by the club. The Gunners’ newest addition enjoyed the contest with Edu but was spotted taking photos with fans and it was great to see him watching his new teammates already.

Although, it was very weird to have a signing confirmed before an official announcement that the media team is working hard on, I’m sure. Hopefully, we’ll get to see the Ukrainian against Chelsea this weekend.

Negative #3 – Game of two halves (again)

Once again, it was a tale of two halves for Arsenal with a much slower opening followed up by a dazzling conclusion.

Gabriel Jesus and Martin Ødegaard brought so much quality into the match that couldn’t be stopped by Orlando. Players like Nico Pepe need to be sold badly by the club because they just don’t look up to it in these opportunities in pre-season. Pepe has been a predictable player in the Premier League and to see him get figured out by MLS defenders was kind of sad.

Let’s hope that he and others can find new places in the summer.

BONUS POSITIVE: The new kit looks absolutely amazing. Even better in action than on display. It is hard to go wrong with black and gold and Adidas have knocked it out of the park. The simple cannon looks great, and I don’t think I have the self-control to not buy it.
