2. Xhaka Arsenal’s perfect……number eight?

Yes, you read that right, but probably not perfect, more so a valuable piece to the Arsenal midfield. In what many called a battle between the Swiss and Youri Tielemans, Xhaka was sensational in the middle of the park.

One thing that stood out was his uncanny ability to time his runs into the box perfectly, eerily similar to Aaron Ramsay when the Welsh wizard was at the peak of his powers.

Xhaka was superb against Leicester. He was neat and tidy in possession, played progressive passes, and was on hand to slot home a bobbling ball after a mix-up between Ward and Fofana.
Xhaka covered every blade of grass at the Emirates as he patrolled the pitch with aplomb and kept his team ticking over nicely.

The 29-year-old has proved over the last 12 months that he can be a valuable contributor to Mikel Arteta’s system and he’s started the season on fire!
