After winning their opening three games of the season, Arsenal are top of the Premier League table, but Mikel Arteta isn’t getting carried away.

Football is fun again. Three wins, nine points, and top of the table. After an offseason that promised so much with the arrival of Manchester City duo Gabriel Jesus and Oleksander Zinchenko along with Fabio Vieira and William Saiba (returned from loan), there was a high degree of anticipation heading into the Premier League season.

To say that the Gunners have put teams to the sword would be an understatement. The Gunners have been super impressive in each game, and none more so than against Bournemouth.

Mikel Arteta’s side dominated the recently promoted Cherries in what can be a challenging venue to visit. From the opening kick-off, Arsenal were utterly superior and they raced into a 2-0 lead after just 11 minutes thanks to a Martin Odegaard brace before Saliba tripled the Gunners’ advantage early on in the second half.

In the season opener, the Gunners were by far the better side against Crystal Palace and fully deserved their 2-0 win. The 4-2 victory over Leicester City was relatively routine, despite a couple of nervy moments in the second half.

So, with three wins from three games, there is a hype around Arsenal that has not been seen in years. Mikel Arteta spoke to the club’s official website post-game and is not getting carried away with his team’s early season form.

"“It’s just three games,” Arteta said.“It doesn’t mean anything; there any still other teams that have to play. What it means is that we have managed to win three games, that we are scoring goals, keeping clean sheets, the team is playing and performing well, competing really well, but it’s about Monday, start training again and start to get better at the other things that we have to do as well, and focus on Fulham.”"

With back-to-back home games to come against Fulham and Aston Villa before an away clash against Manchester United, the Gunners could be in a great position early in the season.

But one thing is for sure, Mikel Arteta is not getting carried away after a perfect start to the league campaign.
