Arsenal vs PSV Eindhoven preview: How to watch on TV, live stream, team news & prediction
Right, here we go then.
Just over a month after this game was supposed to be played, Arsenal are finally playing host to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven on what’s now become Matchday 4 in the Gunners’ Europa League campaign.
Mikel Arteta’s side just about maintained their winning momentum at the weekend as Leeds produced a dominant second half at Elland Road in a slender 1-0 defeat. The north Londoners extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to four points with Manchester City later succumbing at Anfield.
On Thursday, Arsenal will have the chance to qualify for the Europa League knockout phase with two group games to spare if they can at least claim a point against a gifted PSV side. Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men are on a bit of a roll heading into this one, and they’ve claimed seven points from their opening three games to leave them two points off the Gunners at the top of Group A.

Arsenal Team News
Mikel Arteta will rotate once again on Thursday, but he might pick another relatively strong starting XI in a bid to wrap the group up with two games to go.
Thus, while the likes of Matt Turner, Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney, Sambi Lokonga, Fabio Vieira, and Eddie Nketiah are sure bets to start, the other positions could be occupied by starters from Sunday’s win at Leeds.
Oleksandr Zinchenko remains sidelined for the Gunners.
PSV Team News
The away side have several injury concerns heading into Thursday’s game. Yorbe Vertessen (muscle), Ismael Saibari (hamstring), Noni Madueke (ankle), Olivier Boscagli (knee), Marco van Ginkel (hamstring), Luuk de Jong (calf) and Mauro Junior (groin) are all out of contention.
Cody Gakpo, who was linked with several Premier League clubs including Arsenal in the summer, will start in an exciting attacking lineup also containing Xavi Simons and Guus Til.

Prediction
The outcome of Thursday’s game does largely depend on how much Arteta rotates his Arsenal side. The Gunners looked leggy in the second half against Leeds on Sunday, and the Spaniard will be wary of the minutes accumulated by some of his key players this season.
While Bodø/Glimt proved to be a tricky test on the road, PSV will be, without question, the Gunners’ most challenging assignment in Group A. They’re right on Ajax’s tail in the Eredivisie.
With Arteta expected to rotate, PSV have the talent to take advantage. However, I reckon a few second-half substitutes from the Spaniard could see the hosts recover a point.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-2 PSV
