It’s been a busy day in Arsenal-land.

Many were expecting official confirmation of Leandro Trossard’s arrival from Brighton, but before the club announced his signing, reports emerged of Jakub Kiwior’s impending addition.

Nevertheless, Trossard’s arrival has since been confirmed with the Belgian international joining in a deal that could be worth up to £27m. The 28-year-old may be unlike previous Mikel Arteta signings given his age, but his Premier League experience, versatility, and two-footedness will certainly aid the Gunners during the second half of the season and beyond.

It’s attacking depth Arsenal desperately needed and the fee is one that many supporters can get behind.

So, how long will Gooners have to wait until they see their first January signing in action? A mammoth Premier League encounter against Man Utd awaits the north Londoners, but will Trossard be available?

In order for Trossard to make his Arsenal debut at the Emirates on Sunday, he had to have been registered before midday on Friday.

While there is no official confirmation as to whether that was the case, Sami Mokbel (via Jason Soutar) reported that the Belgian signed his Arsenal contract before 12pm meaning he should be available against the Red Devils.

Trossard’s agent is also believed to have told Daily Express reporter Charlier Parker-Turner that his client was registered in time.

So, for those fortunate enough to be at the Emirates on Sunday for what’s poised to be a belter, you could catch a glimpse of the new arrival first-hand. While he almost certainly won’t start, Trossard will be available to impact proceedings off the bench.
