Martinelli lost his starting spot to new-signing Leandro Trossard, yet the Brazilian still had an impact on the match.

When he came on, the 21-year-old made dangerous runs that helped stretch the pitch and gave Arsenal something different in attack. What Martinelli demonstrated is something that Arsenal fans most probably already knew: he can be a menacing option off of the bench.

He can be more than that though, as he has been for so often this season. This was positive from Martinelli – it just may earn him his starting spot back.
