This transfer hasn’t been rumoured as much for Arsenal as it has for other top clubs yet, but the Gunners may be playing themselves into the Jude Bellingham sweepstakes. The midfielder looks likely to be the most prized transfer of the summer window and Dortmund will have offers from many of the top European clubs for the 19-year-old.

While a club like Manchester City currently look like the favourites for his signature, Bellingham may be enticed by the project at Arteta’s Arsenal. He would join a young core with fellow international teammates in Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale, and would be seen as a piece that could help Arsenal get back to the top of European football. This may be more enticing than joining an already-established Premier League behemoth.

Bellingham’s transfer would require Arsenal to break their transfer record and likely offer their highest-ever wages in order to put together a competitive offer for the Dortmund player. For a player of Bellingham’s stature, it could be well worth it. Whether or not Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta are willing to break the bank for a player of Bellingham’s stature remains to be seen.
