Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years last week, but their victory wouldn't have been possible without certain players turning their form around in the final weeks.

The Gunners bounced back from two straight defeats to Bournemouth and Manchester City to win their final five games and secure the title with a match to spare following a draw between the aforementioned opponents.

It was an incredible run of performances from the team to nick the crown, but there is no denying that there were three specific players that turned it up a gear in the run-in to help their side win the title.

1. Bukayo Saka

Having spent much of last season out with injury, many hoped Bukayo Saka would bounce back this campaign with a return to his usual form, but his term was relatively underwhelming.

The winger failed to make a significant impact on a consistent basis in the league, scoring just six goals and providing only five assists in his first 27 appearances.

However, when the time to step up came, Saka gave his all for his side during the run-in. He scored once and assisted another in a 3-0 win over Fulham before setting up Kai Havertz for what ended up being a crucial goal in the 1-0 triumph against Burnley.

Saka took so much criticism over the season, but when it mattered, he showed his quality and the Hale End starboy has finally been rewarded with the Premier League title.

2. Myles Lewis-Skelly

After impressing as his side's starting left back in his breakthrough campaign last year, Myles Lewis-Skelly struggled for consistent minutes this season due to Riccardo Calafiori's good form and the arrival of Piero Hincapié.

Having relied mostly on the cup competitions and rare substitute appearances for minutes, the academy graduate was given a chance to impress in a familiar role against Fulham.

Lewis-Skelly moved into the midfield against the Cottagers and blew fans away with his incredible and controlled performance in the middle of the park, earning him starts in two of the final three games.

Considering he struggled for game time so often, even leading to speculation over his future, the youngster turned up when needed and has rightly been crowned a Premier League champion as a result.

3. Leandro Trossard

Last summer saw speculation that Leandro Trossard could leave Arsenal, but he was instead rewarded with a pay rise that reflected his important status within the team, and he repaid that trust when it mattered this season.

The Belgian had failed to register a goal involvement in the league since providing an assist in a 3-0 win over Sunderland in February, but impressed in three of the final five games to help his side to the title.

He provided an assist for Viktor Gyökeres in a dominant victory against Fulham before scoring the all-important winning goal late on away to West Ham to put his side on the brink of the title.

Trossard didn't find the back of the net against Burnley, but his trickery on the left flank caused plenty of problems in an eventual 1-0 win before he was given a well-earned rest on the final day. The Gunners' clutch man certainly rose to the occasion.
