Arsenal held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw on Sunday evening as they fought back from two goals down to put themselves a step closer to securing Champions League football.
The Gunners started well but the Reds struck first when Cody Gakpo headed in at the near post to beat David Raya. Luis Diaz then doubled his side's advantage moments later as he got on the end of a square ball to slide it into an empty net. Gabriel Martinelli pulled one back for Arsenal minutes after the break before Mikel Merino levelled it up with a header from close range. The Spaniard was sent off soon after for a second yellow card offence.
Mikel Arteta's side weren't impressive all throughout their draw at Anfield, but as they managed to claw back and steal a point, there were three players that stood out.
1. Gabriel Martinelli

Gabriel Martinelli has often enjoyed his meetings with Liverpool and has gained a reputation for running Trent Alexander-Arnold ragged at times, but he came up against Conor Bradley this time around.
Regardless, the Brazilian managed to put on a good showing at Anfield as he grabbed an important goal to help his side come from two behind. He rose well to flick a deft header past Alisson just minutes into the second half and bring the Gunners right back into the tie.
The winger's best moments came when he moved up front and was often seen making darting runs off the ball to offer his team different options in attack. He only had 29 touches throughout, the least of any outfield player to play 90 minutes, but that didn't stop him putting on a standout performance.
