Arsenal take on Crystal Palace in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening as they face a great chance to progress into the next round.

An uninspiring Gunners side was held to a 0-0 draw by Everton at Emirates Stadium in their last outing, with the result prompting the Arteta outers to crawl out of the woodwork following a long time away. Arsenal reached this stage of the competition having secured a convincing 3-0 win at Preston back in October.

There are three key talking points ahead of a cup tie at the Emirates that could have a big impact on how Arsenal fare on the trophy front this season.

At the quarter-final stage of the Carabao Cup, Arsenal face a tie that may end up being crucial for how they view their season. Progression against Crystal Palace will be key for the Gunners.

Arsenal's hopes of winning the Premier League title look to be slowly slipping away so it would make sense for them to turn their attention to other competitions.

Mikel Arteta is starting to come under pressure considering his lack of trophy wins. While facing an excellent chance to progress into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, this tie looks to be a crucial one. The Gunners have a great chance to win the tournament, so they must be looking at this clash as a must-win.
