Arsenal kick off their Premier League campaign as champions. They will host Coventry at the first Emirates Stadium game of the season tonight, and with a few players bound to be rotated in due to fatigue from the World Cup, there are opportunities for those players to put themselves in Mikel Arteta's good books.

Whether it be a bounce back in form, a rare chance to make a name, or simply wanting to impress on a competitive debut, here are four Arsenal players with the biggest points to prove tonight...

Four Arsenal players with the biggest points to prove against Coventry

1. Cristhian Mosquera

Cristhian Mosquera didn't make the Spain squad that won the World Cup, and that within itself is a reason for him to prove himself against Coventry tonight.

However, the World Cup is over, and we're not here to beat a dead horse. Tonight is all about Arsenal, and that's exactly what Mosquera will be focused on.

With William Saliba out injured for a large chunk of time, Gabriel needs a new partner in the heart of defence. Many expect it to be Ezri Konsa, but let's not overlook Mosquera.

Mosquera made a name for himself when covering for injury at the start of last season, and he will be looking to do the same tonight. Nobody knows Mikel Arteta's strongest defence, but there's absolutely no reason why Mosquera can't be involved in it long-term. That all starts with impressing (again) in the short-term.

2. Ben White

Many expected Ben White to leave Arsenal this summer, but Mr Reliable is still here, and he's going to be called upon yet again.

Despite not being in the strongest Arsenal starting 11, White rarely puts a foot wrong. The right-back position is a tough nut to crack, with Jurriën Timber making the position his own. The Dutch defender is injured, though, and that's an opportunity for White.

In pre-season, many of Arsenal's attacking moves occurred on the left-hand side. However, that's because we didn't see White link up with Bukayo Saka in pre-season. Those two together have one of the best partnerships at Arsenal, so hopefully we will see them work together tonight.

3. Myles Lewis-Skelly

Myles Lewis-Skelly is the man of the moment right now, which is made even more impressive by the fact that he hasn't been a man for that long.

Lewis-Skelly was Arsenal's best player towards the end of last season, and he's bound to get a start in the first game of the season. With Declan Rice rested, Lewis-Skelly is energised and ready to start.

Lewis-Skelly is in contention for a spot in the midfield, but he can earn serious credit by taking advantage of this golden ticket to the starting lineup. Everybody knows he's earned it.

4. Christos Tzolis

Having replaced Leandro Trossard, Christos Tzolis has big boots to fill.

The Greek international winger is certainly capable of filling those boots if his numbers are anything to go by. That said, you know exactly how the discourse goes in the Premier League. Fans of the English top flight won't take numbers seriously until they're produced over here, but well, Tzolis is about to do exactly what.

In the Community Shield, Tzolis was heavily involved. He assisted two out of three of Arsenal's goals and looks to be a key part as Arsenal attack (not defend) their Premier League title this season. The world could see what Tzolis brings against Coventry.
