4 talking points ahead of Chelsea vs Arsenal
- Gunners travel to London rivals Chelsea
- Looking to reignite form against a tough side
- Key midfield man set to return
Arsenal travel to face London rivals Chelsea on Sunday afternoon as they look to return to winning ways following a recent slump in form.
The Gunners come into the game off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Inter in the Champions League, their second consecutive defeat after losing to Newcastle by the same scoreline in their previous Premier League outing.
As Arsenal look to get the better of an in-form rival, their are four key talking points ahead of this London derby.
1. Reigniting form
Arsenal's form since mid-October has seen their hopes of winning the Premier League take a serious plummet. The Gunners are winless in their last three league games, drawing once and losing twice, and are currently in fifth, seven points off top-placed Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta's side's chances of winning the title now seem slim but are not completely over by any means. If the Gunners want any chance of securing the league title this season, they must reiginite their form, starting with the game against Chelsea.
The trip to West London is the Gunners' final game before the November international break so it presents a good chance to end a poor spell. A victory would also mean the players have something to return to. Anything other than a win will mean the Arsenal squad will come back hopelessly from the break to a title challenge in complete tatters.
A win against Chelsea is crucial for Arsenal to reignite their form. It is also the perfect game as a derby is arguably down to the performances on the day and not recent form.
