Arsenal are reportedly preparing a move for Morgan Rogers, with formal bids expected in the coming weeks and personal terms unlikely to be a stumbling block.

The prospect of Rogers in an Arsenal shirt is an exciting one for both club and country. His blend of power, creativity and intelligence would add another dimension to Mikel Arteta's attack, while regular football at the Emirates could further strengthen his growing understanding with England's elite talent.

Winner: Arsenal

Over the last two seasons, Morgan Rogers has developed into one of the Premier League's most productive attackers, with his most recent campaign taking his numbers to another level. A return of 18 goals and 18 assists in league play, supplemented by important contributions in Europe, underlines both his quality and the hefty price tag Aston Villa are demanding.

His direct running and ability to break beyond the striker would be a major asset for Viktor Gyökeres, whether Rogers is deployed on the left flank or in a central attacking role just behind the forward.

Loser: Aston Villa fans

The Holte End will be disappointed to lose any of Aston Villa's star players, but Morgan Rogers is the one they will be most desperate to keep as the club prepares for another season among Europe's elite. His influence during Villa's Europa League triumph elevated him from a promising talent to a genuine talisman, and many supporters view him as a cornerstone of the project's future under Unai Emery.

What makes Rogers so special to Villa fans is not just his output, but the way he plays the game. He combines power, flair and fearlessness, regularly taking responsibility in the biggest moments and carrying the team forward when it needs inspiration.

Winner: Viktor Gyokeres

Rogers' performances in central areas have been marked by a consistent contribution of goals and assists, a trait that would undoubtedly excite any elite striker. If deployed in the No. 10 role, the England international would offer a different dimension to Martin Ødegaard, bringing a more direct and powerful style to Arsenal's attack.

Unlike traditional playmakers who focus on controlling possession, Rogers is at his best driving forward with purpose, committing defenders and creating opportunities in transition. His instinct to attack space and support the striker makes him a constant threat in and around the penalty area.

When Rogers hits top form, those around him often benefit as well.

Winner: England

Another winner could be England, especially if Rogers is given a consistent run on the left wing. While the Three Lions are well-stocked in attacking positions, there are still doubts among some supporters over Anthony Gordon and Marcus Rashford as long-term options on the left.

If Rogers thrives at Arsenal and develops strong chemistry with England teammates such as Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke, it can only benefit the national team. Building those relationships at club level could help England become an even more cohesive attacking force in the years ahead.

Loser: Martin Odegaard and/or Gabriel Martinelli

Martin Ødegaard has established himself as a fan favourite at Arsenal, but his performances over the past 18 months have led to growing concerns among some supporters. While still a key figure in Mikel Arteta's side, recurring injury issues and a dip in consistency have raised questions about whether the captain can continue to shoulder the creative burden on his own.

Meanwhile, both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have been linked with potential exits, making the left-sided attacking role one of Arsenal's priorities in the transfer market. However, there remains some debate over whether Morgan Rogers is a natural winger capable of becoming the elite wide threat many supporters are hoping for, or whether his long-term future is better suited to a more central role.

Winner: Aston Villa's accountants

There is little doubt that Aston Villa would demand a substantial fee for Morgan Rogers, potentially surpassing the £100 million they received from Manchester City for Jack Grealish. Such a sale would not only represent a significant profit but would also ease the club's financial pressures and provide greater flexibility under Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

The accountants will be laughing once that £100+million comes in as they are able to stabilise Unai Emery’s balance sheet.
