Myles Lewis-Skelly has been named in England's squad for this month's World Cup qualifiers and if he is to make his maiden appearance, he will become one of the youngest to ever star for the Three Lions.

The Gunners have had a wealth of players appear for England over the decades and some have written their name into the history books as being among the youngest ever to represent the country.

This list only includes players who made their England debut while an Arsenal player and not those who have appeared for both at different points of their careers.

Here are the Gunners' five youngest players to ever play for England.

Just months after signing for Arsenal from Southampton, Calum Chambers was handed his England debut by Roy Hodgson in September 2014 at just 19 years and 226 days old.

The defender was brought off the bench with ten minutes to play to help see out a 1-0 friendly win over Norway.

While the substitute appearance made Chambers one of the youngest Gunners to appear for England, his international career was not filled with much joy. He ended with just three caps.

4. Bukayo Saka - 19 years and 33 days

Off the back of an outstanding breakout season with the Gunners, Bukayo Saka made his England debut in the early stages of the 2020/21 campaign aged 19 years and 33 days old.

He was entrusted to start in the left wing-back role by boss Gareth Southgate, a position he had been converted to previously for Arsenal.

Saka played his part in the victory over Wales, having been replaced by fellow Gunner Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the second half. He has since gone on to become a key component in the Three Lions' attack and has appeared at three major tournaments to date.

3. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - 18 years and 285 days

One of Arsenal's brightest stars at the time, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's first Three Lions appearance came in a post-season 1-0 friendly victory over Norway.

Brought on as a second-half substitute for goalscorer Ashley Young, the Ox went on to represent England at Euro 2012 and at two more international tournaments.

The midfielder suffered consistently with injuries however and gradually fell out of favour. He made a brief return to the national squad in 2019 before ending his international career with seven goals in 35 caps.

2. Jack Wilshere - 18 years and 222 days

After gradually breaking into the Arsenal first team, Jack Wilshere made his first appearance for England in August 2010.

Regarded as one of the biggest prospects in world football at the time, he was expected to have a great career at both club and international level. Injuries prevented that from happening however.

Wilshere's England career lasted six years as he scored two goals in 34 caps, as well as appearing at two international tournaments.

1. Theo Walcott - 17 years and 75 days

After a breakthrough season at Southampton saw him earn a move to Arsenal, Theo Walcott was given his England debut by Sven-Goran Eriksson as a substitute in a 3-1 friendly win over Hungary.

At just 17 years and 75 days old, Walcott's maiden Three Lions appearance saw him break Wayne Rooney's record as the youngest player to appear for the national side and he remains that to this day. Two years later, he scored his first goals for England against Croatia and in doing so, became the youngest to score a hat-trick for the side.

The forward appeared at two international tournaments and earned 47 caps for England, scoring eight goals before his final game in 2016.
