A recent Arsenal recruit has finally admitted he was a lifelong fan

One of Arsenal's summer signings has admitted that he was a fan long, long before he ended up joining the club.

Arsenal signed quite a few players in the summer, especially in positions of need, which will help the club in the long run.

Players like Martin Zubimendi and Victor Gyokeres were necessary signings after the kind of problems they faced in their respective positions before.

They also needed players like Piero Hincapie and Christhian Mosquera, who have added that much-needed solidity and squad depth in defense.

“Before I had decided to join Arsenal, someone in my camp said: ‘The moment you speak to Mikel, there’s no way he won’t convince you.’ And that’s exactly how it happened. When the call finished, my destination couldn’t have been clearer.

“Mikel really lives for football, he was raised on it, experienced everything. You see that when he talks. He loves the detail, sees things other eyes might not. I’m so happy with him. He’s an incredible person and he’s helping me a lot. The staff have made it easy. Arsenal is an incredible club.”

If Mosquera was an Arsenal fan all his life, he will obviously give that extra bit of zing to his performances that may be missing from some of the players who weren't Gunners growing up.
