Arsenal midfielder Eberechi Eze revealed the massive improvements he has made since joining the Gunners in a recent interview.
Eze has been a really good signing for Arsenal this season, easily taking up the starting spot in the lineup and handling the load of creativity alongside Martin Odegaard, but mostly without him as he has been injured for a lot of the season.
Eze has been great, and it is not just that he has been the same player he was at Crystal Palace. Some would say he has improved a few parts of his game. By some, I mean Eze himself.
In a recent interview, he opened up about his improvements.
Eberechi Eze loves the 'intensity' this season
He said: "I would just say the level of intensity of thought and being steps ahead in the game, understanding the game differently.
"I feel that's been a huge plus, to see things better and more clearly, which, of course, is going to make me a better player, improve the way I think, the way I operate.
"Both very intense, both very aware of the details, which is one of the most important things, and for sure, it helps me.
"Have I brought my confidence from playing for Arsenal to England? Definitely, playing at the highest level, it helps you improve. You think quicker, you play better.
"So I feel like it's definitely helped me. From last season, again, growing, coming up more as a complete player."
Eze also opened up about his aspirations with Arsenal, and what he and the club want to achieve together this year, and it sounds like a fun time for all Gunners fans.
They want to win everything, and for the first time in a while, they genuinely have the pedigree to do exactly that.
“I am confident it will be a great season. That's the aim. That's what we're striving towards and working towards every day, club and country.
"It's an exciting time."
Eze will soon hope to start against Albania on Sunday, having come off the bench and scored against Serbia on Thursday.
It will be good to see him get some more minutes with the national team, and he feels like the kind of player manager Thomas Tuchel would want in his starting XI.
However, it is also going to be much better for Arsenal if he plays less and stays fit for the upcoming stretch of games with his new club.
