Due to Arsenal's fantastic recruitment recently, there are always going to be rumors about possible outgoings. Gabriel Martinelli is one player who has been linked with moves away from the Emirates Stadium recently.

Last year, Bayer Munich and Al-Nassr were reportedly interested in the winger. More recently, Fenerbahce has been the team named among many tabloids as a possible destination for the player.

Martinelli proved yet again how important he is to the Gunners last weekend in the FA Cup. He scored a hat-trick in a 4-1 win over Portsmouth at Fratton Park. Tomorrow night, Arsenal play Chelsea in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final, with Martinelli expected to make another big impact.

The Brazilian is full of confidence and has already helped Arsenal to wins over Port Vale and Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup. He missed the Gunners' other tie in the competition against Brighton due to groin problems.

The winger has not been so influential in the Premier League this season so far. He has scored just once in a 1-1 draw with Manchester City earlier in the season. However, that was a late equaliser which could be one of the Gunners' most important goals of the season.

Gabriel Martinelli could play a crucial role in the second half of the season

Arsenal are still top of the Premier League, leading City by six points. Martinelli has mostly made substitute appearances this season in the league and has been left on the bench on three occasions. However, Mikel Arteta should look at playing him more, especially if Viktor Gyokeres is not firing.

Martinelli has been fantastic in the Champions League this season. He has scored five goals with one assist in five games in the competition. One of his goals even came against a club he could have been playing for, Bayern.

The Gunners are also top of the Champions League, with six wins from six games - Martinelli missed the win over Slavia Prague due to his groin problem. Arteta's side still has to play Inter Milan and Kairat Almaty in the European competition's league phase. Then it will be the knockout stages, and Arsenal will need to make use of their big squad.

The Premier League is Arsenal's priority this season, as they have a real chance to finally win the competition after being runners-up in the last three campaigns. In the 0-0 draw with Liverpool in their last league game, Martinelli only made a 26-minute cameo. Arteta needs to give the Brazilian more of a chance if he is to make an impact in these big games.
