Many fans thought the title race was over and that it was surely going to be Arsenal's year. However, there were always going to be many more twists and turns between now and the end of the Premier League season.

The Gunners dropped points last night, drawing 0-0 with Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium. The Reds won the division last season, but are enduring a difficult campaign. Despite this, Arsenal did not manage to beat them this season, as the Reds won 1-0 on Matchday 3.

It is a concern for Mikel Arteta that his side is not managing to get wins in their biggest games. Arsenal's record against the Big Six teams this season is two wins, three draws, and one loss. Having also drawn with Manchester City and Chelsea, alongside the Liverpool results. Their wins against the Big Six teams against Manchester United on the opening day, and then a 4-1 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur.

Will Arsenal still win the Premier League?

Arsenal now have a break from Premier League action, with an FA Cup match with Portsmouth followed by the first leg of their EFL Cup clash with Chelsea.

The Gunners are still top of the Premier League, but now have a lead of just six points. They need to avoid any more slip-ups and need to start beating Big Six teams more consistently.

Arteta's side plays Manchester United at the end of January. This is a fixture they will be heavy favorites for, as United have just sacked Ruben Amorim. They will then be expected to beat Tottenham in February, with Thomas Frank under huge pressure. Gunners fans have been able to mock the Spurs manager recently as he was seen with an Arsenal cup.

Facing Chelsea in March could be very challenging. We are yet to see what the Blues will look like under their new manager, Liam Rosenior. April 18 looks like the date when the title will be decided as the Gunners face City at the Etihad Stadium.

It is not just the Big Six teams that the Gunners need to look out for. They have also dropped points against Aston Villa and Sunderland this season. Arsenal also has a perfect record in the Champions League this season and will be expected to go far in the competition. With growing pressure approaching the business end of the season, we are in for a tense time for Arsenal.
