Arsenal have confirmed 20 players will be released from the club this summer once their respective contracts expire.

The Gunners revealed on Wednesday that a number of players from their first team, academy and women's squad will depart at the end of the season while three names across various age levels are in ongoing negotiations over new deals.

Among those leaving the club are two fan favourite squad players, failed loan signings, and former academy prospects.

The departures of both Jorginho and Kieran Tierney have been officially confirmed with the pair reportedly agreeing free transfers to Flamengo and Celtic respectively. The duo have been key components of Mikel Arteta's time at Arsenal, playing significant roles at different times of the project.

Neto and Raheem Sterling are both set to return to parent clubs Bournemouth and Chelsea at the end of their loan spells in north London. The goalkeeper made just one appearance during his time in the capital while the former Manchester City winger disappointed, finding the back of the net once in 28 games.

Thomas Partey's Arsenal future remains wide open with the club confirming they are in ongoing discussions with him over a new deal. Their hopes of keeping the Ghanaian have taken a knock however, with him reported to be in talks over a move to Barcelona.

Brothers Salah-Eddie and Ismail Oulad M'Hand are two key names set to leave Hale End. The former was one of the brightest academy prospects in the early years under Arteta, but failed to break into the first team following loan moves to Hull City and Den Bosch.

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji was touted as a potential striker option for the Gunners amid their struggles in the second half of the campaign, but he won't get the chance to make an impact in the senior squad as he leaves this summer. He did get the chance to make his first-team debut however, coming on as a late substitute in a 4-0 win at Ipswich Town in April.

Under-21 stars Khayon Edwards, Romari Forde, Jack Henry-Francis, Jimi Gower, Brian Okonkwo and Elian Quesada-Thorn will all leave having played key parts in the 2024/25 Premier League 2 campaign with some also being involved with the first team. Promising defender Michal Rosiak is currently in talks to remain at the club.

Reece Clairmont, Max Kuczynski, Jakai Fisher and Zac Shuaib all had involvement with the Gunners' Under-18 side during the campaign, but will bid farewell to Hale End.

The women's squad, who recently won the Champions League, is set to lose three players. Teyah Goldie, Lina Hurtig and Amanda Ilestedt will depart the club while Chloe Kelly, currently on loan from Man City, is in discussions over staying in the capital.

The departures of a number of players across all levels at the club will see Arsenal have a busy transfer window as they look to strengthen not only their first team, but also their prosperous Hale End academy and their women's squad.
