Arsenal have become the favourites to sign Chelsea player Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the January transfer window. Surprise, surprise.
There are three things which are inevitable in this life - Death, taxes and Arsenal signing players from Chelsea. Unfortunately, the pattern has not been rewarding for Arsenal, with Kai Havertz being the standout example among a bunch of other bad signings from Chelsea.
Yet, for whatever reason, the Gunners remain obsessed with spending their money at Stamford Bridge. It appears to be a toxic, non-fulfilling relationship, with Chelsea always benefitting far more than Arsenal do.
However, it won't stop Arsenal. Not that anyone will be surprised but the Gunners are now being linked to yet another Chelsea player in the January transfer window.
Arsenal favourites for yet another Chelsea swoop transfer in January
According to a report from Caught Offside, Chelsea are keen to offload Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the January transfer window, as his time at Stamford Bridge has not been as rewarding as all parties initially hoped. The report states that Arsenal are now the favourites to land him in January.
That said, Arsenal will not have it easy if they are to push through their with pursuit to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. In fact, there will be a number of clubs waiting to potentially land him, based on developments. Other interested clubs include his former club Leicester, along with Man United Tottenham
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall followed Enzo Maresca from Leicester City to Chelsea after the Foxes achieved promotion back to the Premier League in the summer. The switch has been great for the Italian manager but unfortunately, he is unable to justify starting KDH.
It was not a surprise because actually, many people saw this coming from a mile off. Chelsea's spending history over the last few seasons is widely documented, so they have a squad with the population of a small country.
Therefore, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall exiting Chelsea makes sense for all involved parties. Indeed, Chelsea could recoup some of their investment while he is still worth a pretty penny. For KDH, he would be able to guarantee game-time for himself elsewhere.
There are expected to be a few midfielders leaving Arsenal this season. Thomas Partey and Jorginho are both linked with moves away from the Emirates Stadium. Therefore, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is one of a few players linked with replacing the two ageing and departing midfielders this season.
