Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus is Crystal Palace's kryptonite

Arsenal managed to see off Crystal Palace 3-2 in the Carabao Cup midweek but now will face them in the Premier League just a few days later.

Arsenal advanced to the Carabao Cup semi-finals after a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace and as luck would have it, the Gunners' next league clash is against, yep you guessed it, Palace.

In what is an odd slice of fixturing that is just by chance, the Gunners will now travel to Selhurst Park and look to kickstart their Premier League title chase.

After drawing their last two outings, the Gunners have dropped four points and haven't taken advantage of Liverpool's slip-ups either. But the win over Palace in the cup was good for the momentum that had stalled of late.

Jesus was the hero with three goals, and he should be licking his lips at the chance to double down and take Palace apart again.

Mikel Arteta rotated his squad heavily for the Palace clash, but now comes a conundrum for the Spaniard regarding team selection for the weekend - does he start Jesus again?

This should be an easy decision, right?

Jesus is fresh off scoring three goals against the Eagles, and his restored confidence will only grow if Arteta gives him the nod to start again.

With Arsenal looking toothless in attack in its past two league outings, the Gunners seem to have found a solution to its attacking woes.

Yes, it was only "one" game, but Jesus needed to start his redemption arc somewhere, and now that he's off and running, it would make little to no sense to then relegate him to the bench in favor of Kai Havertz.

A confident and fully fit Jesus can be a game-changer for Arsenal and while he was in the wilderness for the past 20 appearances, he reminded us all of the quality he possesses.

The mental handbrake is now off, and it's time to let the Brazilian loose on Palace.
