The Gunners have been linked with a move for several strikers in January, but Arteta isn't too bothered by the constant noise around making a move.

Time is running out for Arsenal to get some much-needed attacking reinforcements, with the January transfer window slamming shut in a little over a week.

So far, the Gunners have needed a new striker for the best part of six months, and there have been reports and rumors of a potential move, with RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko perhaps the way forward.

For now, nothing new is happening on that front, but it hasn't stopped the constant reporting of news, opinions, and rumors that the club will eventually make a signing that most agree is desperately needed.

Given how long the loud the noise has been for the Gunners to sign a striker, one could easily envision Arteta getting a little bit tired of the constant talk and questions about who the club might sign and when.

But as it turns out, the Arsenal boss is at peace with it.

"No, I understand it happens," Arteta said via arsenal.com. "In the summer I had a lot of people texting me saying: ‘you’re after him?’ and sometimes I don't even know what they’re talking about. I don’t follow that too much, I have enough work to do and we’ve got a lot of things on so I don’t get too distracted by it."

That can be a hard thing to do when every media publication is throwing out names of potential targets and constantly highlighting the deficiencies in the Gunners' attack and how they could be solved by one signing.

But it appears that Arteta keeps his focus narrow and is only worried about what he can control.

And part of that is the next game which is Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League at the Emirates as Arsenal look to take a big step towards progressing to the next round.

Having conceded 15 goals in their six games and only winning two, the visitors have a feeling of "there to be got at," and Arsenal will want to put this game to bed early to avoid any nervousness towards the end of the contest.

After the disappointing 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, the club needs a pick-me-up and that might come in the form of a solid, dominating win over the Croatian Giants.
