For the first time in 20 years, Arsenal will go from being the chasers to being the ones chased by the other 19 teams in the league.
Arsenal players have known about pressure all their careers - the famous Premier League title that has eluded them for years on end has only made the pressure more unbearable in the last few years.
But now, that now goes into a different conversation. Arsenal have been relieved of the pressure of chasing the title for the first time. Now, they will be facing the pressure of the very gold standard that Premier League champions are held to.
The mentality required to go from being a team that has nothing to lose while chasing teams to win their first title in 20 years is different from that of a group that has just won their first title in a very long time.
Arsenal are finally going from the hunters to the hunted
Sure, part of winning that title is to feel the relief of finally breaking the curse. That, in itself, relieves you of some sort of pressure.
What people don't realise is that it adds more to it than what meets the eye. These players no longer have anything to lose. They have to work towards building the dynasty. They have to work hard to stay at number one, despite all 19 other teams wanting a different outcome every single match-week. You also get scrutinised more, by the media, by the fans, as well as by yourself.
These are the things that not winning titles would never show you, and now that Arsenal have excluded themselves from that group, the challenges, the stakes, and the risks are even higher.
Whether the group is strong enough mentally to manage it is a different conversation. Despite showing great mental toughness to keep grinding and getting to the finish line for the first time in years, it is still going to be unfound territory for these young Gunners.
They have to stay hungry. They have to stop complacency from taking over at every opportunity. There are so many more things at stake than a Premier League trophy now - it is time for them to safeguard their legacy. Was the title a fluke, or is this entire run is just the start of something special.
Those questions will only be answered in a few weeks and months, but until then, Mikel Arteta must do everything possible to keep his group - and himself - hungry for more.
