Arsenal brought an end to their brilliant summer transfer window with a frantic deadline day as they secured a number of deals of multiple varieties.

The Gunners had enjoyed themselves throughout the window, bringing in seven players before the final day, but left themselves with plenty of business to do before the closure on Monday evening.

Andrea Berta managed to attend to all needs as he saw out a good first transfer period as Arsenal's sporting director in fine style.

Heading into the day, the Gunners knew they had done sufficient business in terms of incomings, but were working hard to bring one more new face to the club ahead of the deadline.

Following a week of talks and rumours, Piero Hincapie underwent his Arsenal medical on Sunday before completing his move late on Monday evening. Mikel Arteta's side confirmed the loan arrival of the Ecuador international in time to ensure the deal went through smoothly.

While it was great to see another player brought to north London, fans knew there was still plenty of outgoings to attend to. That started with the confirmation that Albert Sambi Lokonga had joined newly promoted Bundesliga side Hamburg on a permanent deal, bringing an end to a four-year stay in the English capital.

Fabio Vieira then followed the Belgian to the German side as he completed a loan move later in the day. He will be looking to impress with the one-time European Cup winners.

Next to leave the Gunners was fan favourite Jakub Kiwior. The Poland international joined Porto on an initial season-long loan, but the Portuguese side have an obligation to make the move permanent next summer.

The 7pm deadline passed and it looked as if Arsenal's transfer business was done for another few months, but two more deals were confirmed late on.

Oleksandr Zinchenko secured a last-minute temporary move to Nottingham Forest after their attempts to sign Atletico Madrid full back Javi Galan collapsed. The deal is a straight loan and he will return to the Gunners next summer.

Reiss Nelson was the final player to leave Arsenal as he made the short journey to London rivals Brentford. The Hale End graduate joins the Bees on loan with Keith Andrews' side reported to hold the option to make the move permanent.

It was a great end to a brilliant transfer window for the Gunners. They dealt with practically everything that had to be seen to, both throughout the summer and on the final day to ensure their squad is fully stacked for this season. There was no move for a left winger however, so that could be something to look out for in January.
