Arsenal just won the Premier League, and Arsenal commemorated the historic occasion by calling in the last manager to do it before: Arsène Wenger.
Arsène Wenger came to Arsenal, and he was met with criticism by even his own players at the time. But he stuck around, and defined the club culture into what it is today.
Heck, it was Wenger who signed Mikel Arteta as a player, turned him into the captain, and now the captain has made the professor proud.
Arsène Wenger is the first to congratulate Mikel Arteta's Arsenal
Shortly after it was confirmed that Arsenal had won the Premier League title, Arsenal took to social media to post a video they had prepared. Arsène Wenger features at the start of the video, and he sent a message to Arsenal.

"You did it," said Wenger. "Champions go on when others stop. This is your time. Now go on, and enjoy the moment."
After the boss raised a glass of wine, red wine of course. He then let the new generation of Arsenal do the talking in the rest of the video.
It's enough to bring a lump to any Arsenal supporter's throat, and it was quite literally the perfect nod of appreciation by the Arsenal media team.
What this message means for Arsenal players going forward
Arsène Wenger's message to Arsenal was clearly a positive one, as it should be right now. However, the players will learn something even deeper from what this nod of appreciation means.
They will take the messaging to go on when others stop, and about this being the time as a nod to what lies ahead of them.
Pep Guardiola is likely leaving Man City, which means the end of an era in the Premier League, and the start of a new one. Mikel Arteta learned from Pep, and he tried so hard to beat him to the title. In Pep's last season, Arteta finally did it, and now he has a perfect opportunity to take the dominance that Pep and Man City are leaving behind.
Arteta has had the same of the best mentors in the game. There is easily a case to be made for Wenger and Guardiola to go down as the top five managers in the history of the Premier League, and Arteta learned from both of them.
Mikel Arteta is now the second youngest manager to win the Premier League trophy, only behind José Mourinho. He is also coaching a relatively young team.
This moment is great, and the players deserve every bit of appreciation they are getting. However, like Le Professeur Arsène said, champions go on when other stop. This could be the start of the dynasty if Arteta plays his cards right now.
