Max Dowman has had a simply brilliant season as Arsenal's breakthrough star and he set yet another Premier League record after his side were crowned champions on Tuesday night.
At 16 years and 144 days old, the Hale End graduate is now the youngest ever player to win the league, beating Phil Foden's previous record set at 17 years and 350 days, set in Manchester City's successful 2017/18 campaign.
That incredible feat adds to the impressive number of records Dowman has broke in the first season of what is likely to be a very prosperous career.
Max Dowman becomes youngest Premier League winner
Player | Age at time of win | Club | Season |
|---|---|---|---|
Max Dowman | 16 years, 144 days | Arsenal | 2025/26 |
Phil Foden | 17 years, 350 days | Manchester City | 2017/18 |

Brahim Diaz | 18 years, 283 days | Manchester City | 2017/18 |

Dowman's Premier League triumph isn't just commemorative as he has appeared five times throughout Arsenal's victorious campaign, making him eligible for one of the 40 winners' medals the champions are given.
His most impactful moment came in March when he came off the bench to help his side to a crucial 2-0 win over Everton. He played a huge part in Viktor Gyökeres' opening goal in the 88th minute before putting the seal on victory with his first senior goal deep into stoppage time.
With Jordan Pickford up for a corner and the off-the ball help of Gabriel Martinelli, Dowman was allowed to race past the Toffees' ailing defenders to break through and tap into an empty goal, sending the Emirates Stadium crowd into raptures and becoming the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history.
His record-breaking hasn't been limited to domestic competitions, having also achieved feats in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, as he has also announced himself on the European stage in the Champions League.
As he came off the bench in a 3-0 win over Slavia Prague, Dowman became the youngest player in the competition's history at 15 years and 308 days old, beating Youssoufa Moukoko's record set for Borussia Dortmund in December 2020.
Later in the season, he became the youngest player to appear in a knockout stages of the competition, breaking the record set by Lamine Yamal, as he came on against Sporting at the age of 16 years and 97 days.
It has simply been an incredible season for Dowman and to end it all, he has now wrote his name into the Premier League history books as its youngest ever champion.
And if everything he has done this campaign isn't crazy enough, he missed Arsenal's training session on Thursday as he was sitting his GCSE exams. Completing school and winning the Premier League, that is just crazy.
