Arsenal could be on their way to their first Champions League final since that night in Paris in 2006 when they came up short against Barcelona. The Gunners have watched London rivals Chelsea lift the Champions League, and the Blues have remained the only London club to win it.

Mikel Arteta's men are on a mission to change that this season, hoping to make it a league and Champions League double this season, and they have a solid chance of achieving it.

The Gunners drew their semi-final first leg with Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night, with Viktor Gyokeres and Julian Alvarez each scoring penalties, but Arteta's men are now potentially just one game away from booking their spot in the Budapest final. Should they get there, what can fans expect from this year's final, and what are the details? Here we take a look.

When and where is the 2026 UEFA Champions League final?

The 2026 UEFA Champions League final will take place on Saturday, May 30 in Budapest, Hungary. The fixture will take place at the Puskas Arena, which has a capacity of 67,215. Kick-off is at 5pm UK time, 6pm local time and 12pm EST.

The stadium usually hosts the Hungarian national team, while it notably hosted some of the Euro 2020 games, with that tournament having been played across Europe.

Of course, the Champions League final will be played between the winner of Arsenal and Atletico Madrid and the winner of current holders PSG vs Bayern Munich.

2026 Champions League final ticket prices

We already have the ticket prices for the 2026 Champions League final. The cheapest available standard ticket is category 3, costing 180 euros, which works out at around £155.94, while category 2 tickets cost much more, at 650 euros or £563.17, and category 1 tickets cost 950 euros, which is around £823. Accessibility tickets cost 70 euros, or £60.65, and those tickets include one free companion ticket.

Flight prices from London to Budapest

We will take a look at flight prices from Friday, May 29 to Monday, June 1, just for a good idea of what it will cost to go just before the game and come back shortly after it. Prices are, of course, subject to change, and are accurate at time of writing.

As things stand, a return flight from Stansted to Budapest with Ryanair costs £248, which is pretty reasonable for a summer flight, and given that the Champions League final is on. But if Arsenal do book their place in the final, those prices are likely to skyrocket.

It's no surprise that accommodation is already pricy, given the event taking place in Budapest, with most three-night stays coming in at over £500 at budget hotels. However, it must be said that, given the city is hosting the Champions League final, those prices are coming in a lot cheaper than what we have seen at some of the major cities hosting the final in recent years.

Is there another way to watch the UEFA Champions League final?

If Arsenal do reach the Champions League final, it's not out of the question that they will put on a viewing at the Emirates Stadium, but the club will hold off announcing any plans until they reach the final, of course.

UK fans can watch the final on TNT Sports, and they are also showing it for free on their discovery+ app, while US fans will need to head to CBS Sports and Paramount Plus.
