Christos Tzolis has joined two Arsenal stars in a unique Premier League stat after confirming his move to North London from Club Brugge on Thursday.
The Greece international joins David Raya and Christian Nørgaard as just the third player to make his Premier League debut against the Gunners before later joining the club.
It is certainly an interesting statistic for Tzolis to be a part of and he will be hoping he can follow in the footsteps of the previous pair, who made history with Mikel Arteta's side last season.

The only other players to make their debuts against Arsenal and later play for them are Christian Nørgaard and David Raya, who both won the title with the Gunners in 2025-26.

Tzolis has previously appeared in the English top flight for Norwich City, making 14 appearances for the Canaries during their 2021/22 season, their most recent campaign in the Premier League having suffered relegation at the end of the term.
Having already made his Norwich debut in an EFL Cup tie against Bournemouth, scoring twice and assisting two in a 6-0 win, the Greek started in a 1-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium, playing 69 minutes, but failing to get the better of fellow top flight newcomer Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Raya and Nørgaard had played their first Premier League games just weeks before when they took to the Gtech Community Stadium to lead Brentford to a famous 2-0 win over Arsenal in a return to the highest division following a 74-year absence.
The shotstopper put in an impressive performance, making a fine save to deny Nicolas Pepe, while the midfielder scored the second goal with a header from close range into an empty net after Bernd Leno was beaten by a long throw-in.
It was an historic moment for the Bees and the duo eventually went onto join the Gunners to write their names into the history books as Premier League champions.
Raya joined Arteta's side in 2023 and has been a crucial part of the setup since, keeping 48 clean sheets in the league to aid his side in three title challenges, with the latest being successful.
Nørgaard followed him from West to North London last summer to provide midfield reinforcements within the Arsenal setup and he played seven games to earn himself a league winners' medal.
Tzolis will be hoping his move to the Gunners can replicate those of Raya and Nørgaard as he joins the club at a point of improvement as they build on last season's success.
