Declan Rice has been proven right in the best possible way after Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions on Tuesday night.
When Manchester City defeated the Gunners 2-1 on 19 April, the title race seemed to sway in the Cityzens' favour, but Rice wasn't accepting it was over. At full-time he was filmed saying "It's not done."
As those words potentially brought jeopardy to himself and the club, the midfielder was ridiculed by rival fans at the time for allegedly playing up to the cameras, but his resilience and belief has paid off as he has been proven right in the greatest way as he is now a Premier League winner.

Since joining Arsenal from West Ham for £105 million in 2023, Rice has been a fan favourite and one of his side's best and most consistent players, but until this season, he had failed to win any major silverware in North London.
Having signed off the back of a second place finish in the 2022/23 campaign, he helped the Gunners to another runners-up ending in his debut year, just two points behind winners Man City. They did the same last season, but finished 10 points behind victors Liverpool.
Now, Rice and his Arsenal teammates have done it. They can no longer be labelled the 'bottlers' of the league as they have finally got themselves over the line, and of course, that means the midfielder's post-match words at the Etihad have been proven right.
That moment very much highlighted the former West Ham captain's leadership skills as he at least kept his side's hopes alive with those words.
The Gunners responded to his comments in the perfect way, winning their four games since the City defeat without conceding a goal to take the pressure off themselves and transfer it back to their title rivals, along with reaching the Champions League final in that period too.
Rice has long been Arsenal's captain without the armband. Having led his side out on a few occasions, there have been plenty of shouts for him to be officially appointed as the club's skipper due to the leadership qualities and skills he constantly shows on and off the pitch, and his shouts after the defeat to Man City will now live long in the memory of supporters.
The midfielder of course had to have his say after the title was confirmed, taking to Instagram to share a selfie with the caption "I told you all.. it's done".
Rice has arguably been Arsenal's best player for the last three seasons and his hard work has finally paid off. As his brave words are proven right, he is one of many who can enjoy this title win and look forward to the trophy lift and the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
