Fabrizio Romano has revealed a transfer bombshell involving Joao Pedro being available, which could change everything for Arsenal.

Heading into the 2025 summer transfer window, it's clear that Arsenal has a lot of work to do. Mikel Arteta has already hinted that those above him at the club will do the necessary, while fans also have their predictions about which players will be signed.

However, such is the fast-paced nature of this sport, fans must also be prepared to see those plans change. Indeed, some trains only stop once, so Arsenal would be silly to have one plan and not stray away from it at any cost.

Indeed, this has never been Arsenal's plan. After all, the likes of Declan Rice, Leandro Trossard and Jorginho were all signed after their first-choice options were sniped.

At striker, either Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Sesko are presented as the two options for Arsenal. Alexander Isak is also involved in the conversation, but that could depend on whether Newcastle qualify for the Champions League.

According to a new update from Fabrizio Romano, Joao Pedro has been given the blessing to leave Brighton this summer, for a new adventure. Arsenal are among the list of Premier League clubs interested in signing Pedro.

And, it makes complete sense. Arsenal is on the hunt for a striker this summer, as it appears to be the missing piece of the puzzle as far as the Gunners are concerned. Pedro's availability seems to have been brought about at the exact right moment.

Frankly, Arsenal would be silly to not at least include Joao Pedro in their internal conversations. Sure, the outcome might still be Gyokeres or Sesko, but that doesn't mean Pedro should be overlooked immediately.

Joao Pedro already has Premier League experience, which could trump Gyokeres or Sesko for that reason alone. However, he doesn't quite have the same killers instinct that Gyokeres does, which seems to be what Arsenal require going forward right now.
