Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Arsenal's interest in Noni Madueke is separate to their Eberechi Eze pursuit, which is a huge relief for Arsenal fans.
Arsenal has been incredibly busy over the last few weeks. Although fans are waiting for the Gunners to get deals over the line, there can be no denying that work has been put in over the last few weeks.
In fact, dare we say it, fans have even been impressed by how Arsenal have operated this transfer window. I know, never thought we'd say that either.
However, one rumour which is circulating raises a concern for Arsenal.
Arsenal show interest in Noni Madueke
Arsenal are showing an interest in signing Noni Madueke from Chelsea. The belief is that with Enzo Maresca planning an overhaul at Stamford Bridge this summer, a few players could be available for a cheap price - Madueke is one of them.
For whatever reason, Arsenal is always interested in bringing in players that Chelsea's looking to get rid of. The success rate of this method of transfer hasn't weighed in Arsenal's favour, to say the least.
So, Arsenal fans are concerned for that reason, but also because there's a fear the Gunners will let this transfer interest interfere with their other options. Given the choice, fans would prefer that other attackers, such as Eberechi Eze, are signed.
Fabrizio Romano reassures Arsenal fans
Thankfully, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke deals are not mutually exclusive. This likely means that both Eze and Madueke can be signed, if Arsenal desire both players.
According to Romano, Arsenal still hasn't submitted a proposal for Madueke, as they're currently assessing many options. So, Arsenal's heart isn't set on Madueke, which is hardly surprising, given how recently this rumour emerged.
Look, Madueke could be a great player under Arteta. Given how most of the Chelsea imports have performed in Arsenal red, it's easy to understand why fans aren't jumping for joy. However, if Arteta deems Madueke to be a key part of his process, then fans should get behind him and trust the process.
