Arsenal winger Noni Madueke has had a tough start to the season. After five Premier League games, he's made just two appearances, playing just 23 minutes. The England international will return from the break hoping to get back into Mikel Arteta's squad, but it doesn't seem to be happening for him.
With Arsenal having sold both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, and Madueke still struggling for minutes, this's a big concern for the winger. Amid Madueke's struggles to get into the team, there has been some transfer speculation ahead of a potential exit in January.
According to the Telegraph, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are both interested in Madueke, with the potential of a January loan move being the most likely option. It will hinge on whether Arsenal are willing to let him go, but seeing as they've not been using the former Chelsea star, it feels like a move that could easily happen. Here are four teams that Madueke could join in the winter transfer window.
Juventus
As mentioned, Juventus are reportedly keen on signing Madueke, and it would be a decent move for the Arsenal star, seeing as they have Champions League football. They haven't had a great start to the season under Luciano Spalletti, sitting seventh in the Serie A.
In terms of Madueke, it would be a good personal move for him, as Juventus are in need of more attacking help. Their starting wingers have been Kerim Alajbegovic and Francisco Conceicao, both of whom have been average at best this year. They've combined for just one goal between them, and so there's certainly room for another winger.
Atletico Madrid
Atletico were the other team mentioned in the report, and it is understood that they have been linked with Madueke for a while. They're currently second in La Liga and also in the Champions League, so the chance of silverware could be even better than at Juventus.
The only issue for Madueke is that he would likely be competing with Giuliano Simeone for the starting right winger role, which could be an issue, as Simeone has been excellent so far this year.
He's scored two goals and provided two assists in seven league games so far, so it could be more difficult for Madueke to get regular playing time.
Newcastle United
Looking closer to home, Newcastle could be an option for Madueke. They were linked with him when he was still at Chelsea, and the Magpies could seriously do with some more attacking firepower, as they've struggled with selling players and injuries.
Harvey Barnes has been starting at right-wing, so there's certainly scope for playing time for Madueke. Plus, summer signing Matias Fernandez-Pardo has been struggling to make an impact at left-wing, so there could be a spot for Madueke there too.
It could also benefit Arsenal for Madueke to remain in the Premier League, but, of course, there is always the danger of letting one of your players join a rival.
Crystal Palace
If Madueke were to leave Arsenal, a move to Crystal Palace just kind of feels right. The Arsenal star began his career in the Palace academy, and seeing as he has been in London since 2023, it would be a favourable move for him personally.
Crystal Palace have really struggled so far this season, and they are currently one of the lower-scoring teams in the league. Pierre Sage does play a 3-4-3 formation, so Madueke would be deployed in one of the wide roles behind the striker.
Sage is currently playing Daichi Kamada and Yeremy Pino in those roles, so Madueke could certainly become a starter straight away, so it feels like a realistic landing spot for the former Chelsea star.
