Arsenal have been very active in recent weeks when it comes to signing players. Noni Madueke, Christhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres will make it six incoming players since the start of the summer transfer window.
Amidst all the excitement of the new arrivals, the Gunners are beginning to make some room in the departure lounge for players to leave the Emirates.
So far, there have been only a few players deemed surplus to requirement and nobody of great note. Perhaps only Takehiro Tomiyasu will be greatly missed.
Fulham have made an initial approach to re-sign Reiss Nelson
According to Talk Sport, Fulham have made an initial approach to re-sign Reiss Nelson, possibly on another loan deal. That would make it Nelson's third loan in four years. The player has gained valuable experience on loan at both Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, and Feyenoord in the Eredivisie.
Nelson struggled to make an impact at Fulham due to suffering a hamstring injury in December. Matters were made worse when, nearing a return to action, he suffered a hamstring injury in the opposite leg and had to undergo surgery in February.
Nelson is a product of the Arsenal Academy and made his senior debut for the Gunners in 2017. Since then, the Londoner has made 90 appearances for Arsenal, hitting the back of the net eight times.
Despite being fairly consistent when asked to deputise, Nelson has rarely hit the heights that were expected of him. The arrival of Noni Madueke and the anticipated contract renewal of Ethan Nwaneri won't enhance his chances of being involved either.
Selling Nelson could help generate funds towards Eze's wages

At a reputed £100,000 per week, Arsenal would be foolish to retain Nelson and another loan makes sense. At 25-years-old, Nelson might prefer a permanent move. A fee of about £12 million could be enough to prize him away from the Emirates.
Evan without Nelson in the squad, Arsenal have plenty of depth in that position. Slimming down the wage bill by a hundred grand a week could certainly help Arsenal to generate funds for the wages of a certain Eberechi Eze perhaps?
