Arsenal have been given the famous Fabrizio Romano seal of approval, as Christian Mosquera is believed to be 'Here We Go'.

Few things fill Arsenal fans with joy more than seeing those famous three words. Sure, there are the last-minute screamers from Reiss Nelson, Declan Rice scoring two free kicks against Real Madrid and Myles Lewis Skelly copying Haaland's celebration, but they pale insignificant to the feeling of a new transfer.

This is because, this summer, Arsenal needed transfers more than ever. And over the last few weeks, Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta have been cooking behind closed doors. Now, Arsenal fans can expect a new name to be added to that list.

Arsenal strike agreement to sign Christian Mosquera

According to Fabrizio Romano, there is a verbal agreement in place for Arsenal to sign Christian Mosquera from Valencia. Formal proceedings will follow after the verbal agreement.

Fabrizio Romano believes Arsenal will spend €15m plus add-ons to sign Mosquera, with the total package coming to less than €20m. Next steps are to formalise the deal, with a medical booked in for later this week.

In his own words, Romano said: "Christian Mosquera to Arsenal, here we go! Verbal agreement in place with formal steps to follow. €15m fee plus add-ons, total package under €20m. Long-term deal in place, Mosquera who only wanted Arsenal. Medical ready later this week if all goes to plan."

Christian Mosquera becomes Arsenal's fourth signing

When Christian Mosquera signs for Arsenal officially, he'll join a pretty impressive list of three signed players already. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi have all been announced by Arsenal already.

Noni Madueke has also been granted the 'Here We Go' status, so now it remains to be seen which player is confirmed by Arsenal first.

Christian Mosquera will join as a backup centre back, but Arsenal certainly have the future in mind here. They recognise the impact of losing either William Saliba or Gabriel through injury, a lesson they've learned the hard way in the past, and want to put a backup plan in place.

They've got that now, Arsenal fans can rest assured.
