There is plenty going on in the Arsenal transfer news multiverse, with three key names making the headlines - Ethan Nwaneri, Viktor Gyokeres and Christian Mosquera.
The former is already in the Arsenal squad. However, question marks began to creep up surrounding his future. As an in-demand young player who would love more game time, it's natural that clubs would monitor his situation.
The two latter players aren't currently registered with Arsenal, however, with the rumour mill churning, Arsenal fans hope it won't be too long before they are registered players. Let's see what the publications and sources are saying.
Ethan Nwaneri will sign a new Arsenal contract this week
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ethan Nwaneri is able to sign his new deal in principle this week. The 18-year-old was struck with a wave of uncertainty surrounding his future, but Romano believes his situation is more positive than other tabloids may have suggested.
In his own words, Romano said: "Ethan Nwaneri’s new deal at Arsenal can be sealed in principle this week. Arsenal believe progress made over the weekend was significant, with all indications positive at this stage."
So, it appeared to be a brilliant weekend for Arsenal on this front.
Last season, Ethan Nwaneri scored nine goals for Arsenal across all competitions (including two in the Champions League) and provided two assists.
Viktor Gyokeres' agents are in London to talk with Arsenal
Some more excellent news to start the week comes in the form of Viktor Gyokeres, a lethal striker who Arsenal have been calling out for years. Well, he's closer than ever to making the switch.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Viktor Gyokeres' agents have landed in London as of Monday morning, and they will enter talks with Arsenal over signing the player.
It'll be a €63.5m (£55.04m) plus €10m (£8.67m) deal, which Romano believes is almost agreed.
From Gyokeres standpoint, he's always been crystal clear: He doesn't want Sporting or any other club, only Arsenal. Now, it could finally be done.
Arsenal close to striking Christian Mosquera deal
It wouldn't be an Arsenal transfer news wrap-up if we didn't include the Oracle, David Ornstein.
Ornstein believes Arsenal are still working on the deal to sign Christian Mosquera from Valencia. Personal terms are agreed, and the move is now described as "very advanced."
A reminder that if Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Christian Mosquera are secured as official transfers, which certainly looks likely at this stage, they will partner Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard. So, Arsenal would be strengthening all over the pitch, which many would argue was needed.
