Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes there is an opportunity for Arsenal to win multiple Premier League titles, he said on Sky.
Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy for the first time in over 20 years at Selhurst Park on Sunday, a few days after the title was confirmed to be theirs for at least a whole year, when Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth mid-week.
Although the celebrations were not as good and climactic as they would have hoped for, it does not matter to a single fan or player in the slightest. They have a lot of time to celebrate this league title. It does not matter how they won it, at the end of the day, they will celebrate with the fans.
Ian Wright just said what every Arsenal fan is thinking after Premier League win
Wright was celebrating, too, as he is a massive supporter of the club. However, what he said is something that every single Arsenal fan must be thinking of right now, as the Premier League enters an era where Arsenal could truly dominate.
He said: “You hope this could be the start of something for Arsenal. Pep Guardiola is leaving and Chelsea have to do what they need to do. What's happening with Liverpool? We're not sure.
“This is a time when you look at Arsenal's team, the average age is 24 to 28 and players will want to come to Arsenal now. It's now up to Arteta and Berta who they want to bring in to continue this.
“There is a window for Arsenal before everyone else catches up. So, I'm hoping we can take advatage of that.”
Wright is absolutely bang on with his take. Obviously, in the Premier League, things can change very quickly. One day, Arsenal are the best team in the world, and the next, maybe not. However, in the grand scheme of things, the clubs against them do look a little bit weaker now than they did in the last couple of seasons, and Arsenal have only gotten stronger.
Liverpool won the league last season, but it is clear that there is a lot for the club to fix this summer before they can compete for the league again.
Manchester City were neck and neck with Arsenal all year round, but with the departure of Pep Guardiola, it could take time with Enzo Maresca to settle in and deploy his footballing philosophy to the players.
It is the same with Chelsea - they are in a bad moment, and it could take some time for Xabi Alonso to improve the team.
Manchester United have also looked good, but they may not be ready for a Premier League charge, especially with them playing in the Champions League next season.
Things are looking good for this young Arsenal group, and if they can keep everyone together, this could be a start of a dynasty.
