Believe it or not, Arsenal's biggest rivals this season have been Manchester City. It is not that hard to believe, but the people who keep mentioning other names simply don't realise how difficult it is to fight against a team like Manchester City in the Premier League.
Aston Villa have obviously been great this season - and they are shattering all expectations - but Arsenal's brilliant run, at one point, was only matched by City.
However, now, it is looking like an uphill task for City to get to where Arsenal already are.
After the loss to Manchester United, combined with Arsenal gaining a crucial point at Nottingham Forest later on Saturday, The Gunners are now seven points clear of their biggest rivals at the moment.
It leaves Manchester City in a tough position, even though it is not something they would particularly be affected by in the past.
They have made up a lot of league deficits in their peak, but now, Arsenal seem to have a lot of control over the Premier League's title race, and the sooner City realise that, the better it is.
It took one match for Tijani Reijnders' Arsenal call-out to become a comedy
Otherwise, though, you would be risking being part of a comedy, similar to what Tijani Reijnders might be feeling at the moment.
Just before the game, Reijnders was asked about their title race with Arsenal, and how confident they are of eventually catching the Gunners in the league, to which he gave a reply that did leave a lot of fans - both of Arsenal as well as Manchester City - a little bit surprised, to say the least.
He said: "We are pretty confident [of catching Arsenal], to be honest. We all feel like we are really growing this season and that's a good sign."
Now, here is the thing; one part of what Reijnders has just said is not wrong at all. They have grown a lot over the course of the season, and it seems like City have actually gotten better as the year has progressed.
There have been a few bumps on the road, including the most recent one against Manchester United, but they have improved their consistency over the last few months.
However, this is just funny. It is not a tall order for a team like Manchester City to be challenging Arsenal for the league title, but when you are six points behind, you should be a little worried.
Obviously, two bad games for Arsenal and two really good Manchester City performances could turn that upside down, but these players also have to be realistic and give Arsenal the benefit of the doubt.
Arsenal are the best team in the league at the moment, and there will not be that many chances for City to take points off them. In hindsight, both teams should have done a lot better, but Arsenal have more breathing room at the moment than City, which means players like Reijnders would have their work cut out for them if they want to catch Arsenal.
