Arsenal are finally looking a lot more like themselves again. It seems like in almost every big game, the true Arsenal side comes out, and that is exactly what you need to see as a fan.

Against Tottenham, Arsenal produced one of their best performances of the season. They did the same against Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. They have done it again, this time against Aston Villa in a dominant display.

Arsenal never really took the foot off the gas, and it seemed like Villa were never in the game because of the sheer quality of The Gunners on Tuesday night.

Every single player on that Arsenal team, especially after all the injuries they have been facing in the last couple of months, had a role to play, and they played it to perfection.

Jurrien Timber was great defensively, as was Gabriel and Hincapie. Martin Zubimendi controlled the tempo in the midfield, and Leandro Trossard was exceptional going forward.

There was another player who made everything tick for Arsenal in the attacking third, and it was none other than Martin Odegaard.

Odegaard has been playing really, really well ever since he returned from injury. He played well and scored against Brighton, and was a constant menace against Aston Villa, recording a cheeky assist to Zubimendi's goal.

He looked like a shell of himself before the injury, where he was playing every ball a second or two late, and every pass felt safer than usual.

Now, he is finally taking risks, and against Villa, he was very close to his best level. Odegaard had three key passes, and continued to circulate the ball in advanced areas to create danger for the opposition.

This takes me back to Odegaard's quotes after returning from injury a few weeks ago. He was asked about it back then, and he said he felt 'hungrier'.

He said: "I feel like I’m getting stronger and stronger. I can’t wait to be back now, we’re on a good path and it’s looking good. I’m really excited.

“I guess that’s one of the good things about being injured. You get hungrier and more excited to play football again. That’s the good part of it, I’m desperate to get going again.”

And if you see his football ever since he returned, you can see exactly what the Norwegian midfielder means.

Odegaard just looks a lot like himself again, and it is fantastic to see.
