Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta only had great things to say about his superstar winger, Bukayo Saka, after their 4-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
Saka was not involved in any of the goals that Arsenal scored in that match, but he was instrumental in everything that happened in the attack, regardless of whether he got the credit or not.
He was at his absolute best, creating chances for his teammates, dribbling past Tottenham players with relative ease, and once again showing just how dangerous he can be when he is fit and firing.
Mikel Arteta delivers strong Bukayo Saka verdict after Tottenham win
Speaking on the brilliant performance, Arteta said: "I loved his attitude, his presence, how dominant he was in the game from the beginning. The first reaction immediately, he wants to grab the game, and he really wants to say, I'm here. And that's what I love, he didn't score, but he was in every action. I think he was really, really good."
Saka has not scored in a really long time, and that is something that he has to work on, but that is what every Arsenal fan loves about him: Even if he is not scoring goals, he is still involved in the team's build-up and the attack, and he still produces excellent performances despite not being on the score sheet.
He did that again on Sunday, and Arteta could not have been more proud of his performance.
The next step for Saka is to get rid of the long scoreless streak that has been going on in 2026, but this game against Tottenham was a brilliant response to people who said that Arsenal do not have world-class players who can decide games right there and then.
It is also really important for not just Saka's morale, but also the team's morale, to play the way they did against their biggest rivals. They showed how much these results matter and how much these games matter when everything is on the line.
Arsenal will need to make sure that they are still at their best in their next game as they get ready for another London derby, this time against Chelsea. Saka will no doubt be excited for the fixture, given how much he enjoys playing in the big moments, and he will be crucial to Arsenal's attack yet again.
Saka will definitely hope that this is the game where he ends his goal-scoring streak once and for all.
