Arsenal managed to keep its composure after Myles Lewis-Skelly's red card to register a 1-0 win over Wolves.
Arsenal managed to keep the good vibes going from its 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb midweek, but Michael Oliver made the Gunners work hard for their 1-0 win over Wolves.
Myles Lewis-Skelly was sent off just before half time as the teenager cynically stopped a would-be counterattack after an Arsenal corner. A yellow card and nothing more.
Or so we thought.
Oliver sent Myles off, much to the shock of football fans in attendance and around the world. Some even wanted the Gunners not to come out in the second half in protest of the decision.
But Arsenal came out and was determined to get a positive result...and it got it thanks to Riccardo Calafiori's strike to give the visitors the lead, one they never relinquished as the football gods shined down on Mikel Arteta's team.
When a moment like that happens, things can go one of two ways. The team crumbles and the mentality of being hard done by can creep into their performance and they get blown away, or it can galvanize them, and they can push on and win the game. Which is exactly what happened for Arsenal. Also, don't underestimate what a win like this can do for the club moving forward either, knowing that even with 10 men, they can still produce a performance like this will do wonders for their confidence moving forward, even if they really shouldn't have had to be put in that position in the first place.

The win moves the Gunners up to second, six points behind Liverpool who had a game in hand.
Given the scale of the backlash to the decision even though the Gunners one, we can only imagine if Arteta's side had of lost or drawn this game, what the reaction would have been.
But it's clear that fans and credentialed media like Charles Watts and Sami Mokbel have had enough of these types of decisions happening all too often in the Premier League.
The Gunners face Girona in the Champions League midweek before hosting Manchester City in the league in what promises to be a big week for Arsenal.
And exactly what happens with Lewis-Skelly's red card will be a headline for days to come.
