Myles Lewis-Skelly has signed a new contract at Arsenal, comitting his long-term future to his boyhood club.
The Gunners confirmed the news on Thursday afternoon after rumours emerged last week the youngster had agreed to fresh terms. His previous deal was set to expire in 2026 and he had attracted interest from top clubs in Europe, including Real Madrid.
Arsenal have rewarded Lewis-Skelly for his efforts during his breakthrough season and have ensured they will keep hold of one of their academy's brightest graduates.

Lewis-Skelly enjoyed a brilliant debut campaign with Arsenal following promotion from the club's Hale End academy. He made his debut in a 2-2 draw away to Manchester City and eventually managed to break into the first team as a starter.
He played a key role in victories over the likes of Real Madrid, Tottenham and PSV, performing like a seasoned professional on a consistent basis. The youngster scored his first goal for his boyhood club in a 5-1 triumph over Man City and celebrated by copying Erling Haaland's famous meditation pose as revenge for the Norwegian's remarks toward Lewis-Skelly in the reverse fixture.
The makeshift left back finished the season with one goal and two assists in 39 appearances across all competitions. His efforts throughout the campaign also earned him a call-up to the England senior squad, scoring on his debut in a 2-0 World Cup qualifier win over Albania.
On signing his new contract, Lewis Skelly said: "I’m so proud and happy. I know those words are simple, but I think they sum up how I feel signing for this club. I’m a fan and it’s like a dream come true.
"I've embodied the values of Hale End and come through. I've still got a lot of years ahead of me, so if I can keep staying humble and being a good person, that's the most important thing to me.
"I know I've taken a lot of experience from the games about the positive moments, the mistakes that I've made. I'm definitely more ready now for the next season. I just want to keep learning and keep improving.
"I want a legacy. I want to win everything there is to win in the game. I want to win trophies on the biggest stages whilst being a person that's always learning and stays grounded, which is so important."
With clubs such as Real Madrid sniffing around, ensuring Lewis-Skelly committed his long-term future to Arsenal was an absolute must. By tying him down, the club have not only given the player what he deserves for a brilliant season, they have also ensured they will keep hold of one of Europe's brightest prospects.
