Piero Hincapie has set some huge goals alongside the Arsenal team for what they want to achieve this season, the player revealed in an interview on Sunday.
Arsenal conceded a goal for the first time in 11 games after a 2-2 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium Of Light on Saturday evening.
That draw also snapped their 10-match winning streak that started after drawing with Manchester City in September.
Regardless, the goals have not changed for any Arsenal player. They still want to win, and there is a long way to go before anything gets decided for the season.
Hincapie says Arsenal 'dream about' winning everything this season
In a recent interview, Hincapie opened up about the team's collective goals this season.
He said: “We have a great team, we dream about winning everything and we’re working for it. We try to do our best in training so we can show it in the best way possible in matches.
“Obviously we have great players, we have great competition within the club, which is the most important thing, having competition, healthy competition that can improve your level so the team can put on a show for the fans, obviously.”
That is absolutely the right mentality to have.
Arsenal have sometimes lacked leaders like that in the past, who know what they are worth and what they want to achieve, and are not afraid to say it to the public.
Now, this Arsenal dressing room is full of those players. From those who start every match to those who are on the bench, everyone has one goal, to win every single trophy possible, and they are all working towards achieving that this season.
Arsenal have looked brilliant, conceding just five goals so far this season, and even though their winning streak has been stopped, they are still unbeaten since they lost to Liverpool in August, making it 14 unbeaten matches on the trot.
Even though Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League, as well as joint top in the Champions League, there is still a long way to go, and the players do not seem to be getting complacent.
Instead, they actually understand the huge task at hand, and will be taking it on a game-by-game approach.
There is a lot still left to be unpacked, but it is certain that Arsenal will try their best to get their hands on a major trophy - something they have not done in a very long time.
