Arsenal travel to face League One side Port Vale on Wednesday evening as they begin their Carabao Cup campaign in the third round.
The Gunners held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw in their previous outing as they snatched a dramatic point in stoppage time. Erling Haaland had put the Cityzens ahead after just nine minutes, but substitute Gabriel Martinelli rescued his side with a perfectly executed lob over Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 93rd minute to ensure the spoils were shared.
Port Vale were victorious last time out, defeating Mansfield Town 2-1 with a late Ronan Curtis winner from the penalty spot. The Valiants currently find themselves in the bottom half of the third division though, sitting in 19th just a point above the relegation zone.
Mikel Arteta will be keen for Arsenal to return to winning ways with a good result at Vale Park. His side will come up against a team looking to cause an upset, having already done so against Birmingham City in the last round, but they will fancy their chances of securing a convincing victory to set themselves on the road to silverware.
Here's our preview of the Gunners' Carabao Cup trip to Port Vale.

Arsenal team news
Following several tough tests in the opening weeks of the season, this game offers Arteta the perfect chance to rotate his side. Kepa Arrizabalaga will replace David Raya in goal to make his competitive Gunners debut.
Christian Nørgaard could also make his first start for the club, coming in for Martín Zubimendi at the base of midfield. Piero Hincapie may be prevented from following his fellow new signings in making his full debut as he battles an unknown injury, meaning Gabriel Magalhaes could continue at left centre back.
With Noni Madueke now ruled out for around two months, there is a chance for Max Dowman to come in the right flank for this game. However, Bukayo Saka will likely start with his fellow Hale Ender introduced later in the tie.
Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Port Vale: Arrizabalaga; White, Mosquera, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Merino, Nørgaard, Rice; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli
Port Vale vs Arsenal score prediction
While the hosts will have the sights set on making the Carabao Cup fourth round, Arsenal should be winning this game comfortably, even with several back-up players in the side.
It should be an easy affair for the Gunners and they should look to control the game from kick off. Arteta's side can't afford to be complacent though as lower league sides have already shown what they can do to Premier League opposition this season. A certain Manchester side comes to mind.
