David Raya signed on loan from Brentford at the start of this season and while his first season at the Emirates Stadium has been clouded by English pundits mourning the loss of Aaron Ramsdale, we must not take this away from the fine performances David Raya has shown.
Yes, he's petrified fans a fair bit this season but if anyone can handle a spiked heart-rate and jump scare, it's an Arsenal fan.
It is important to remember that David Raya has taken a complete step-up in his career, playing in some high profile fixtures and most notably, becoming the Champions League number one. Let's not forget about the marked improvement he's made to the Arsenal team with his impressive distribution and box commanding.
The club has the option to make David Raya's loan move permanent when his contract expires in summer and they are expected to trigger this option. After all, the Spanish goalkeeper has made the position his own and he has overtaken Ramsdale in the depth hierarchy.
