More than likely, Arsenal will try to sign a new midfielder in the summer transfer window. Jorginho is coming to the end of this Emirates Stadium contract. Although Arsenal are interested in extending his current stay, Jorginho's agent has spoken highly of a return to Italy.

Furthermore, Thomas Partey is injured more often than not, so Mikel Arteta needs reinforcement in the midfield.

1. Douglas Luiz

The Aston Villa midfielder has been linked with a move to Arsenal. After a terrific season under Unai Emery and acting as one of Aston Villa's best players this season, he could be ready to play Champions League football next season.

As expertly demonstrated by Breaking the Lines, Douglas Luiz works best in a double-pivot. This would suit the Arsenal system, since Luiz' best qualities would tailor to working in a partnership with Declan Rice. It's also a nice bonus that the Brazilian is cool from the spot, not that Arsenal need any more competition for spot-kicks.
