3. Bright performance

Regardless of the result, this was still a bright performance from Arsenal. Having had 59% possession, Mikel Arteta's side dominated the general play and were just unfortunate to be hit on the counter-attack.

There were very positive individual performances for the Gunners. Bukayo Saka was easily his side's best player and opened the scoring with a brilliant finish. He also caused Alphonso Davies plenty of trouble and prompted the Canadian to foul and receive a booking, meaning he will miss the second leg.

Gabriel Jesus was another standout performer having came off the bench with just under half an hour remaining. He completed 100% of his dribbles, having attempted three, and also won all four of his ground duels. Jesus showed his Brazilian flair with some neat footwork on his way to assisting Leandro Trossard's equalizer.

Overall, it was a bright performance from Arsenal against a difficult opponent and one that they can be proud of despite the result. Their never give up attitude ensured that this tie is far from over and it is all to play for in Munich.
