Bukayo Saka was engaged in a tough battle with Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies for most of the game. Not every attack was successful but Saka certainly made the most of his chances when given the space.

The Englishman opened the scoring early on with a top-quality finish into the bottom corner and it looked for a time that the Gunners would accelerate off into the distance.

Saka proved a handful for the Munich defence, especially on the half-turn where he was repeatedly brought down around the box. Unfortunately, the Gunners could not make the most of the set-pieces but Saka’s inviting corner in the first half should have been turned in.

In the last minute, Saka was brought down in the box as he rounded Manuel Neuer. It was a controversial decision and I feel that a penalty should have been awarded. However, at 2-2, the game is still there for the taking in and will require another top performance from the Gunners next week.
