- Arsenal are interested in signing Michael Olise this summer
- It would impact the squad and pecking order
- Here are 3 winners and 2 losers from Arsenal signing Michael Olise
By Kian Long
Martin Odegaard (winner)
Martin Odegaard carries a lot of the attacking build-up onus at Arsenal and it's easy to see why. The Norwegian captain is one of the best dictators of play in the world, so his teammates naturally trust him with the ball at his feet.
Michael Olise carries a similar role at Crystal Palace, as his dribbling ability makes him difficult to dispossess. Therefore, it will be a great option for the Arsenal captain to have, should he ever need to offset play to a wide-player.
Emile Smith Rowe (loser)
Since his unfortunate injury last season, Smith Rowe has struggled to return to the starting lineup for Arsenal and he has not scored a goal in two seasons. Therefore, he is likely walking on a thin tightrope as it is. Like Nelson, I can see Smith Rowe being sold this summer and the arrival of Olise will not do anything to help his case, should he wish to stay.
Do you think Arsenal should sign Michael Olise this summer?
