Many Arsenal fans would have been surprised to see Emile Smith Rowe's name in the starting XI for the 2-0 win over Luton Town on Wednesday evening given his recent omission from the side. However, the 'Croydon De Bruyne' showed his worth with a brilliant display against the Hatters.

Smith Rowe played a part in both of his side's goals against Luton and certainly made a case to be given a start against Brighton. His brilliant display signalled to Mikel Arteta that he is still able to compete in this brilliant Arsenal squad and that he won't leave the club without a fight.

His performance against Luton could signal a long awaited return to form and regular playing time for Arsenal's number ten. There is a possibility he could be given the chance by Mikel Arteta to put on a similar display against the Seagulls on Saturday.
