Thomas Partey (loser)
It must be said that with Arsenal pursuing a move for Bruno Guimaraes, this likely means the end for Thomas Partey. Of course, Arsenal are likely to get the deal for a midfielder over the line before they sell Partey, but it doesn't look promising for the Ghanaian.
In truth, Partey's time at Arsenal has looked over for a long time. He had a bright spell towards the end of 2023/24, but it was too little and too late.
Ethan Nwaneri (winner)
Ethan Nwaneri's place in the power rankings is projected to skyrocket in the coming years. As the youngest player to ever play in the Premier League, he is showing plenty of promise. A midfield reshuffling could benefit the Hale End graduate, since it would mean a clean slate for Arteta in his midfield plan.
It is unlikely Nwaneri will start a Premier League game anytime soon if Bruno, Rice and Odegaard is the midfield trio, but he could definitely benefit from some good performances from the bench and in the cup.
